Checks went out yeaterday, and we got ours today. If someone does not get it by Wed or Thurs., let me know

I got mine Tuesday. The ONLY time it has ever been late was the week of the 4th of July and THAT was caused by the holiday, NOT SMS.

Sandie- As of saturday, I have not received my check yet. Spoke with Brad and he hasnt received his yet either. Mike.

What or how is the pay structure set up for this deal- checks in the mail???? What is that all about??

SMS pays by check now instead pf cash at the end of the night. Not a new concept but different at SMS. We have raced at SMS a few times this year and when SMS is responsible for the payout they have it in a very timely manor. Many times the addresses on file for the racers are wrong and ya can't hardly blame the speedway for that. I am not affiliated with the track, just a racer. SMS has some problems, but ontime pay generally isn't one of them. JMo Duane Just wondering, why would you care?

I do not care Duane- Just saying I would think that is just disrespect to the racer- Duane also, this is not common at all in the tracks across america. JMO

Mike, we had trouble getting our check on our first visit also. We did receive our check this time on wednesday.
Probably an address issue, since you or Brad were not there on the first E/W show.

Mike, I will take care of looking into . I put a call into Nettie, and like Rich said it is probably an address issue.
Checks in the mail is not uncommon at alot of tracks we have raced at, and is not a big deal, as long as they get out the first of the following week. Nettie has been doing a good job at this as long as she has all the correct info.

Just a question: How come a track can't have the checks made out ahead of time for each position and then all they would have to do is write in the name of the driver that that check belongs too?
I know when I write my business checks out for sponsorship and ect, I go back in with my list and fill in who I wrote it too for tax purposes.

Mike, I just talked to Nettie, and just as we thought, she didn't have your addresses, so I gave yours and Brads addresses to her. She is getting them out asap, and she also asked for your phone numbers, so she maybe be calling you.

Eric probably because you never know how many cars there will be to payoff , and she either doesn't come, or leaves real early, and when she got the info Sunday morning, she was having her accountant do the checks on Sunday, so she could mail them out on Monday. (just my quess)

Just so you know, every track that we raced at this year has paid by check and some with an option of either or.
When ya got a long tow home, the last thing I want to do is wait for the payout. I'd rather grab a burger and hit the bricks. JMO Duane
