Post by JOHNSON MOTORSPORTS 1 on 08/23/06 at 7:46am u know what thats crap. dont talk about expecting a lot of cars cuz to me that doesnt mean sh*t. i think you need to start showing more respect for the local small shows as well. that is 3 races that we have lost this year. seems to me the track has no intentions of making them up like they should. im sorry but im really not happy with the track right now. they dont remove the mini stocks but they remove us. its a lot of crap.its alright though cuz i can always go to a different track such as SMS. anyone interested in going to SMS on the 3rd of september let me know so i can get in contact with you so we can all go over together and have a good time and get all of our racing for the year. |

Post by JOHNSON MOTORSPORTS 1 on 08/23/06 at 1:54pm scott we wouldnt send u hate mail if u would quit screwing us around. some of us work weekends and have switched with guys for events and have stuff planned. now with 3 point races to go u change it and all it does is hurt us all. now we will have 3 races in a row for the last 3 point races and we will have 4 in a row if u put our nationals back to the 29-30 of sept where they shouldnt have ever been taken off of. just my opinion but i dont think it is right for u to move stuff this late in the year. its bad enough dealing with the late models having qualifying,heats,dash,b-mains,non-qualifiers,and a-mains. americans are part of your weekly show here calling bakersfield there home track and racing for points there and going to treat us like crap. if you dont start thinking about the little guys racing without all the big money and fancy cars u wont have a weekly show. thats part of the reason the car count has been down. we havent had 1 trophy dash all year long. which i think we should have them every week there a great thing but i guess then again its just my opinion |

American stocks are where Ivan and myself came from. So don't think that we are screwing you guys over adjustments have to be made. I will say that if a track loses money you have no track, correct? This race with schraeder will be expensive for the track to have yet is has the potential of being a real moneymaker. A nextel cup show at our track is exciting. With a fairly fat car count this show needs to be properly run for it to be succesful. There will be many new folks in the house that will either spread the good word after this show or poo-poo the track. This is a chance to impress some people. If you have a long show that hit's the state mandated curfew and all the racing is not finished folks will be bent! This dropping of one class this race I think is a sacrifice for the overall good of the weekend. Bakersfield Speedway in my view has done way more right than wrong in 06. We have it good here. Remember the troubles of Hanford and SMS before showing to much displeasure. I know if I raced in the class i would be bent to but also we need a track that can make deposits in the bank more than withdrawels. Late_Model_Mark |

Don't wait for the track to do it...Find SPONSORSHIP and create the other details...propose that to what ever track you would like the race to be held...(Shoot for NEXT season so you'd have plenty of PLAN and ORGANIZATION and Notification time...) Post by TALON75 on 08/23/06 at 11:30pm just an idea for scott , you might want to start thinking about starting earlier as we have done in sm . at first we all griped that it would kill the track , or we would be running dryslick all the time(which most sms guys are not real crazy about), but now they have a pretty good handle on the prep and we are all happy when we can start drinking beer at 9:30 or so !!!LOL. it really has turned out well and the fans are really happy with it too .JMO |

No LOVE, No HATE...no real opinion on the class...and never made any impressions of having one... My comments (Other than my sarcastic comment to Billy's message) is, if you AMERICAN STOCK racers want a socalled "NATIONAL" Create one. Once you come up with your ideas, needs, etc. work on putting the event on the schedule SOMEPLACE, promote it EVERYWHERE you can..and MAKE IT HAPPEN. No negativity towards a class that (Like MOST grassroots classes) the racers involved in...LOVE. Some guys sit and WISH a race would happen...Others do something to MAKE it happen. The more that are willing to work to MAKE it happen, the louder your voice will be, the better chance you have of getting what you want... PERIOD, I don't care if it's a race, a rule, a price, or a payout... Same note, I've heard in the past a few classes that were not happy with a payout at an event. If say this class (what ever you called it) only pays 300 to win...get together with ALL the racers in that class, and get ALL of them to kick another 10, 20, 30 bucks into a seperate pot(everbody needs to put in the same amount) and you've basically got a SIDE pot (like a side bet) If a certain racer doesn't want to take part in that "side pot" he wouldn't have to contribute..nor would he benefit from it. There are WAYS to make things happen. |

Post by speedracer on 08/24/06 at 7:42pm i think everyone has lost sight of the subject american stocks deserve just as much track time as everyone else you dont see them screwing around with lm, imca, ss, or hobby stocks schedule it's a disapointment to the drivers, their familys who support them 100%, and the fans who love to watch them race. the american stocks deserve to have their nationals put back on the schedule no classs deserve to be put on and taken off every other weekend. i see where your coming from sept. 02 is going to be a great night to watch but why keep the mini's on every class deserve's the same respect even the smaller classes their are some american stock drivers that can flat out race and put on a show and have just as much fans as everyone else |

Follow the example of the E/W and Sandie Simkins and the W.A.S. and most recently Rick Childress and affect a change in your division with solidarity and cooperation. WE all can perpetuate a problem by coming here and BITCHEN about it OR WE CAN COME HERE AND TRY TO BE A PART OF THE SOLUTION TO THAT PROBLEM. Some fine examples have come forward for ALL to see in the last couple of years with Mr. Childress's project just getting off the ground , it appears another success story will emerge with ALL OF THE HOBBY STOCK DIVISIONS COOPERATION. Post by outlawaaron98 on 08/25/06 at 9:47pm sounds like scott is dropping the ball over there on you guys so why not come over to sms where you can race and will get paid to race and not dropped for a lower class of cars like the minis we all know the american stock factory stock and hobbies put on a better show than most and well if they are gonna bring a nextel driver bring a good one like harvick or gordon or johnson who grew up over there but most nascar fans that would be interested in that little race will be in fontana anyways at the real cup race so why drop poor local racers that bring the money for a little exebition race that proablly wont make what he is thinking but anyways jason and gang long story short come over to sms you know u are welcome anytime and well wish i could be there to see the race but i will be in fontana on the 3rd so i hope to hear u guys came and raced and g/l with this issue and the nationals being dropped hope he makes it up to you peace out Aaron Smith |

Post by racing_fan on 08/25/06 at 10:50pm well all i can say is that harvick & johnson have'nt drove a dirt late model neather has gordon . but gordon has driven on the dirt . but as for anybody on the nextel cup it's ken schrader that's got more lap's in a dirt late model then most beside's tony stewart but probly even more then tony does . ken has his own dirt late model's |
