Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway Results 8/26 Post by woodracin13 on 08/27/06 at 11:45am So, why did Puckett get DQ'd I left before they were done? His heads or carb? That was a good race to bad that dorn caution had to come out with 2 to go or I would have waxed there a$$. |
Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway Results 8/26 Post by speedracer on 08/27/06 at 1:45pm dam good racing jackie!!!! that race was yours. |

I guess you guys have a 4 valve relief piston rule and Pucket only had 2 valve relief pistons. |
Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway Results 8/26 Post by Perrin on 08/27/06 at 2:30pm Jackie your car is fast. thought i was doing good till you past me. guess i need more than three tires. |
Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway Results 8/26 Post by woodracin13 on 08/27/06 at 3:52pm Yeah, Lee we have a four valve relief rule on the pistons. Well that sucks especially when you can get a good piston with 4 valve reliefs in it. Perrin, you were doing good I had to work past everyone and then you got loose on the bottom and I was able to get a run on the top thats were I stayed most of the night and passed people weird for me because I usally pass on the bottom. Sorry to hear that you got a flat and Johnson got into you. I never have a problem with Chad he has always raced me clean and he passed me clean last night. I just screwed up and he got by me, I went to high in 3 & 4 and got in the loose stuff and had no traction. OH WELL thats racing and its better than the luck we have had lately. Later, Jacky |
Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway Results 8/26 Post by dirtboxhero on 08/28/06 at 10:20am what was up with dump and mike j. dump jumped out of his car before it even stopped and was in his face....they both were pisssed at each other. and i know that they both got the flats @ the end of the race but what happened? i thought they were friends |

well i hopoe that the officals and securty read what you wrote that JAMES came at him and that we did not go after him!!!!! |
Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway Results 8/26 Post by dirtboxhero on 08/28/06 at 10:45am mike didnt even have a chance to get out of his car, and i saw his dad trying to keep dump away from mikes window....did they just make contact in the race? |
Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway Results 8/26 Post by snoopy22 on 08/28/06 at 11:08am James hit Michael so hard that it bent his wheel over!! So because Bruce tryed to keep James away from Michael he was excorted out of the pits. |
Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway Results 8/26 Post by dirtboxhero on 08/28/06 at 11:43am for the rest of the night or for the whole season? i think that was pretty crappy....you keep your son from getting hit when someone else trys to start crap. and you get kicked out but some like robby sawyer who starts stuff on the track with rich, goes into the pits and mouths off to rich and his crew when they want an explanation, and then runs away when they get tired of his mouth. emotions run high in racing because its such a competative sport.....but i dont understand why they would have reason to kick him out of the pits? i think jumping out of your car before it stops would be a worse infraction than stopping a fight...jmo |
Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway Results 8/26 Post by snoopy22 on 08/28/06 at 11:49am well apparently the so called securty guy does view it that way!! this is not the first time we have had issues with this guy. As far as the rest of the season we don't know i guess we will know as soon as they send us a letter. I just hope that both Michael and Kevin will not suffer by not have Bruce in the pits to help them!! |
Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway Results 8/26 Post by JohnsonRacingFan on 08/28/06 at 12:07pm Dawn, You know darn well that that Michael and Kevin won't suffer if they kick Bruce out of the pits. They know the car just as well as he does. Worse comes to worse, I am sure that Steven and them would help as much as possible. |
Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway Results 8/26 Post by snoopy22 on 08/28/06 at 12:11pm I know they will have help its just not the same |
Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway Results 8/26 Post by JohnsonRacingFan on 08/28/06 at 12:23pm It will never be the same without their dad there. If they can survive these last few races it will be okay. I really don't think that they will kick Bruce out of the pits. he was only doing what any dad would have done. Protecting his son. |
Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway Results 8/26 Post by dirtboxhero on 08/28/06 at 12:56pm thats rediculous....if they really do wanna kick bruce out for the season, then let me know and i'll go down and tell the track what happened, because the closest security guard to it was the ones guarding the gate next to the track exit into the pits, and i know they weren't paying attention. there was only a couple of us standing there when dump hoped out of his car with it STILL moving and not one security guard was amongst us so they didn't really see it. |
Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway Results 8/26 Post by snoopy22 on 08/28/06 at 1:50pm well all i know is the one named Jack is the one he's is having problems with!! He has a habit of accusing Bruce of doing things he hasn't done!! |
Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway Results 8/26 Post by JohnsonRacingFan on 08/28/06 at 3:41pm Jack is one of the (if not the) worst security person around. He couldn't tell the story straight if it happened right in front of him. |
Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway Results 8/26 Post by JOHNSON MOTORSPORTS 1 on 08/28/06 at 4:50pm well if my dad is kicked out then u r all right. we will survive but ur right it wont be the same. not having him there cooling our cars or helping us at tech every week. but i know we will get thru it and no matter what we will continue to be up front. |
Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway Results 8/26 Post by bakoracer8 on 08/28/06 at 5:26pm The first incident with Bruce was when Dump came off the track and Bruce went up to Dumps car and beat on it. That is what Dump was mad at. When the race ended is where you pick up the story. Dump was not after Michael he was mad at Bruce for what he did under caution. To Michael's credit he was sitting in his car waiting for water to cool of his motor, he made no attempt to get out and confront Dump. As far as any other pit incidents we will handle them. Everyone knows the rules with going up to someones car or pits, and I am going to put this bluntly I AM SICK OF IT.... I HAVE HAD ENOUGH AND I AM NOT GOING TO PUT UP WITH IT ANY LONGER. So everyone be in for a rude awakening for the rest of the year. Expect to pay the consiquences if you enter someones pits or touch someones car out of anger for the rest of the season. Just race and have fun. Mike |
Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway Results 8/26 Post by JOHNSON MOTORSPORTS 1 on 08/28/06 at 5:51pm i kinda agree with u mike. i understand ur tired of it but we as racers r tired of people (such as james cecil) who get mad when someone passes u on the track and they just drive thru u or turn into ur car. its not right and its not far to us. and in my opinion u would have less enraged people in the pits if the track would do something about it. because jamesclearly turned right and hit michael on purpose and u know what. james changed his tired and was back on the track. when in my opinion he should have had an official waiting for him to say load it up ur done for 2 races. michael is leading the points and james in so far back i dont even think he will be in the top 10 so it was not called for at all for him to hit michael |
Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway Results 8/26 Post by bakoracer8 on 08/28/06 at 8:58pm It is impossible for anyone in the stands or in another car for that matter to know what another driver is doing or thinking. I know how frustrating things get. In all my years at the Speedway I lost my temper one time, and my driver was the one to calm me down (Ivan). I am just saying the crews need to take responsibility for there actions. I told my Dad he could not come into the pits when we race because of his temper, Ivan told his brother the same thing. We did not want problems we wanted to race. When we got mad we put all that energy into the car, not into someones face. As far as what James was thinking who knows I got up there right after it happened. Every winner this year has used their car in some way that could be considered questionable some more that others. Some drivers freely admit it to the crowed after the race and apologize to the competitors. Most of the time all is forgiven, but if a driver is not given the option of publicly apologizing to the crowed (HE DID IT ON PURPOSE). That is the way it is. If we threw the Black every time someone touched another car we would not have any cars to race in the main. No-one is without guilt. We will never take the questionability out of all the calls in racing, all we can do is the best we can for all parties involved. We have not set a STRICT peresident this year for ruff-driving, but trust me we will not make the same mistake next year. Mike |

Yea, I second that, that dude takes our beer at the gate and then kicks us out of the pits at 3AM, and we're not done drinking yet!!!!LLLLOL Chill, one of these days he will save your bacon, and the other guy will be bitchen. Better yet you do his job for a nite, then tell us how it is. |
Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway Results 8/26 Post by Perrin on 08/29/06 at 9:22am Is that the guy that kicks me out almost every race? |
Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway Results 8/26 Post by dirtboxhero on 08/29/06 at 10:35am i agree with mike, i did not see bruce do that to james' car under caution....but if it was over that why he hoped out of his car with it still rolling, why was he in mikes passenger window yelling at mike? i do agree that all this crap in the pits needs to stop...and there is alot of rough driving this year, and i believe that is the main reason for all the anger in the pits....but thank you very much mike for what you keep control of in the pits |
Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway Results 8/26 Post by pitter on 08/29/06 at 11:06am Dave Bauer has got it right about security, I think. |
Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway Results 8/26 Post by fmr.trk.official on 08/29/06 at 2:24pm bakersfield speedway!!!! I've been around racing my whole life ,I was in the pits sat night .I sean alot of good racing that night. But What i didnt like to see was the end of the hobby race. A man went up to the offical in the pits grandstand and just chewed him out, yelling , screaming, he was going bezerk,This man has no respect for these officals. That was very uncalled for. Then he ran down to the cars coming off the track and then again going bezerk ,Hitting his fist on some guys car.At the tracks that I used to work for,we call these characters LOOSE CANNONS... And the best way to handle them,Is to send them , And the team they are with home. They would be done for the year.Thats how we would solve the problem. |
Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway Results 8/26 Post by dirtboxhero on 08/29/06 at 3:11pm it wasnt just hoobies, in super streets too...i understand that it was robby sawyer and he probably deserved it but still...have some self control. |
Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway Results 8/26 Post by imracin68j on 08/29/06 at 8:45pm Robby, I think you proved how valuable your dad is in your pit. You need to give it up to his expertise. Kelly, we underestimated you. lol Sorry dude, I had to get you back for the "at least I work on my car" crap you gave me a few months ago. |
