Title: 9-9 BBQ at Bako
Post by jrtracing on 09/07/06 at 7:18pm

Flyin Brian Pucket Racing,Team Lonnie Welch, Jensen-Pedro, and Skinny's Automotive went to Costco and bought a dosen Tri tip, and 250 beers today. We also got a couple of cans of beans , some chips, a few hot dogs and buns, and a couple things of potato salad. Apparently Costco doesn't carry macaroni salad, so if anyone wants mac, they need to bring it.

It's not necessary for anyone to bring anything, but we won't turn any extra food down either. Ice chests in our pit are usually short on soft drinks, so if your not on alcohol you might want to bring your soft drinks.

As soon as we can get done and loaded up we're going to move to the front parking lot and start the grills up.

Team Cardoza said they were bringing some linguica and maybe some Portugue (SP?) Moonshine.

Skinny is also bringing a few more sausage type appetizers

Pucket is going to make up a bunch of jalapeno poppers.

I'm not going to mention that my new Smith and Wesson 44 Mag Pellet smoker will be in just about in time, and Tri-Tip is my speciality, but I might just come over and have a sample anyway.

The new smoker does have an aluminum body, but no floorpan.
However it can do 3-links, or 4-links

Let me guess...... Coors Lite? Any real beer? and only 250. That should be gone before the linquisa is done.

Post by jrtracing on 09/07/06 at 11:04pm

One of my crew handed the invite to me. It's still in the cabinet of my trailer. What day was it again? As long as were not at a race I'll probably be there. It's not far from home. I remember that.lol

Kings, Ca   Oct 6-7
Bako, Ca    Oct 13-14

I just got off the phone with Jerry Pedro.  I guess we had a lack of communication. He bought 8 more Tri Tip and 40 hot dogs. It looks like it's going to be a good feed.

Did he pick up any Corona? I really don't expect an answer to this question since its poker night.

On second thought Lee is probably already out.

I want to thank everyone that came by the BBQ.  Also, thanks to Brian Pucket and Skinny's Automotive  for cooking all the food. Pucket's Poppers are the BOMB.

Absolutely had a great time at the BBQ. Those "poppers" were the bomb!! Thanks to everyone that put in a lot of time and effort for the party. We (77c) partied on till 4:00....got home 8:30 in the morning , but well worth it...!!

Title: Re: 9-9 BBQ at Bako
Post by jrtracing on 09/11/06 at 12:52pm

Dave I didnn't get home until 5:30. I can't think that it took me more than 20 minutes to get home, so I think you partied on until about 5:00am. lol

Thanks to Bakersfield Speedway also for letting us pull around front and party all night.

It was also a great party for Chris and Lorinda Kearns 18th anniversary. Even though I couldn't get the present Chris wanted for him.

Post by Chris_Kearns on 09/11/06 at 1:05pm

That was the most people I have ever had at an anniversary party. There were even people there that I didn't know. Thanks Lee.

Chris

PS. Who cleaned up the parking lot the next day?

Chris the parking lot was cleaned spot less when we returned out here. Lee you can have a party in the grandstands if you clean up that good all the time. I can send home the clean up crew and save some money. Scott

I'm not sure, but I would lay my money on Pucket to be the one that cleaned up. He stayed out there, and he was concerned from the start about having enough trash cans. When I left there was trash on the ground, but I thought most people had done a good job of throwing stuff in the trash can. When the first one was full, I seen it starting to get littered and Tyler went and brought out some more trash cans for us.

I saw a trailer out there when I left, but no life coming out of it. Poor guy probably had about as much help cleaning up as I did when I had my party.

Thanks Lee you sure know how to throw a good anniversary party! I need to get the recipe for those poppers. They were great.  Even Ron's mom liked them.
