Title: LEAF SPRING SLIDERS Post by lwiseracing on 10/03/06 at 3:12pm DO U NEED THEM OR IS A SHACKLE GOOD TO |
Title: Re: LEAF SPRING SLIDERS Post by fish151 on 10/03/06 at 3:37pm You can go either way. I seen that Lee Jensen was using a shackle, but then Brad Pounds was using sliders. |
Title: Re: LEAF SPRING SLIDERS Post by dirtLM on 10/03/06 at 4:15pm I have used both and sliders work better all around. |
Title: Re: LEAF SPRING SLIDERS Post by Frazier15 on 10/03/06 at 4:27pm We used a slider on the right and a homemade shackle on the left with multiple holes to adjust bite. We also relocated the "Shackle" pivot point forward. |
Title: Re: LEAF SPRING SLIDERS Post by imracin68j on 10/03/06 at 6:30pm The problem with using (2) shackles is that the rear end shifts all over the place in the corners and through ruts. You need to get the hangers down a little to get some decent lowering blocks in. The SS that do use shackles only use them on the LR. The RR slider locates the rearend as the LR shackle unloads creating more bite on the LR. |
