I need to make a trip to the junk yard and get a backing plate for a big bearing big tube rear-end. Does anyone know what type of car will have this backing plate on it at the junk yard? It is 12" wide and came off of a 76 Nova rear-end I believe.

Check a caprice or monte carlo I believe there the same if u can find the size u need

hope this isnt to late for you.

i believe that the small(7.5) and big(8.5) 10 bolt rear ends use the same backing plate. so you should be able to get it off any ten bolt.
