Title: Mini Stock Race Tip Post by slidinbmw on 07/19/09 at 7:25pm Don't put ten quarts of oil in your 5 qt motor. |
Title: Re: Mini Stock Race Tip Post by hogracer3d on 07/19/09 at 10:02pm You would have to change it 1/2 as often |
Title: Re: Mini Stock Race Tip Post by Andrew on 07/20/09 at 6:57pm You certainly wouldn't have to add any time soon, that's for sure. |
Title: Re: Mini Stock Race Tip Post by Patch on 07/21/09 at 3:34pm He was smoking so bad I thought it might be me. lol |
Title: Re: Mini Stock Race Tip Post by slidinbmw on 07/21/09 at 4:12pm Hey, but once the smoke cleared, 2nd place wasn't too bad for starting 20th. I can't wait to see the video of my James Bond style smoke screen. |

I outsmoked you and did it with less than ONE quart of oil!!! I was REALLY burnin' up the track and made a new meaning for HOT laps!!! |
Title: Re: Mini Stock Race Tip Post by slidinbmw on 07/23/09 at 12:06pm Did you get everything fixed Ben? I would recommend not catching on fire next race. :D |
Title: Re: Mini Stock Race Tip Post by benstrans on 07/24/09 at 3:04pm Repairing the exhaust leak which caused it. Replaced burnt power steering hose. Put in ELECTRICAL oil pressure guage, NO little hose to run by the motor. Now, IF I could just find a can of HORSEPOWER to add so I can run up with the BMW's and Toyotas. |

If you find it, Pick one up for me too. :) |
Title: Re: Mini Stock Race Tip Post by slidinbmw on 07/24/09 at 4:05pm For Ben you can go to racetep.com. You may have to give them a call. They play around with that 2.6L. And I'm not talking about their turbo kit for your truck. They have other, more mild "stuff". For Patch, Speedway Motors has several pages dedicated to your car. Just go to the mini stock/pony car section. I hate when they call 'em pony cars. [smiley=beer.gif] |
