Title: 305 gm heads Post by hobby26b on 08/17/09 at 8:26pm Has anyone ever tried to run 305 cylinder heads on a 350 hobby motor.Or on any motor, how did it run? |
Title: Re: 305 gm heads Post by Andrew on 08/17/09 at 9:26pm I had 305 heads on my mod when I bought it. I ran the whole first year with them. It ran great... on methanol no less. For the second year a buddy twisted my arm and I put his world products heads on. It did wake the car up. I would think for a hobby 305 heads would work fine, especially if you're on a budget, but I'm not a hobby driver either. |
Title: Re: 305 gm heads Post by 32MORGAN on 08/17/09 at 9:50pm 305's are 58 cc and that's pretty small when you have a 180 hot cranking comp rule and the hobbys have a flat top piston rule. even with custom cam grinds, i don't think you could bleed off the extra compression and that would kill power with the 4412. jmo |
