Title: Lightweight rotating assy
Post by hogracer3d on 08/26/09 at 10:22pm

Valve retainer broke, needs 1 piston, package has no more than 10 races on it.

Package made 570hp and 480tq on 4-bbl w/ stock dia springs.

3-feature wins at PAS last year, top 4 at Simkins '08 on 2-bbl, and fast time @ Steitz 08 (thats where the retainer broke)

We needed the block and belt drive for another project

Sonny Bryant Crank 3.500 X 350M X 1.888 (Honda) W/big block snout 42 lbs and is standard size journals
Arrow 6" 300M rods .940w big end w/ 10mm bolt upgrade

Crank and rods are from ProPower

7 good JE flat top (tour lite GP 650hp rated) gas ported custom pistons 1.5 x 3mm ring package(pistons are pin height for 6.125 rod because we decked the block .140 to save 12 lbs)

Paid $4K for crank and rods, $1200 for pistons.

Also have Dart Iron Eagle Platinum 200's with 47-49cc chambers and Ferrea 5/16 stemmed stainless 202/160 valves w/Crower ultralite titainum retainers (only 15) and Crower springs.

Jesel shaft system for above 1.55 ratio.

Comp 4-7 swap by Tony Barker solid nitrided cam .573 lift have to check rest ( needs fuel pump lobe reground/repaired) otherwise excellent shape.
Matching Crower ultralite coolface lifters w/edm hole.

everything for this package is available except block and belt drive.

*Needs properly machined block, 1 piston, 1 valve, 1 retainer, and timing chain or belt to complete package*

Bob weight is in the 1400 gram range (I think, will check).

Serious inquiries please, approx $11k invested in just above parts

You don't want any non-serious inquiries?

LOL- didn't break, fell halfway down and piston tried to re-install it a little off center.

Looks like a "Z" now, could qualify as an offset valve.

Destin for our "wall of shame"

thats funny, i have several items i have saved over the years. milodon oil pan ventalated, 1/2 an .810 rotor, front snout and first counter weight from a chevy steel crank, pushrod stuck through a stamped steel rocker arm, sharp piece of metal that stuck through the side wall of a brand new hoosier during wheel pack. are we pack rats? LOL
