I still would like to know if John would be open to some added open shows.A 2 race series North VS South.One race at Antioch and the 2nd race at Chow/Santa Maria/or Bako?

Around the time of your first inquiry, John had just added 2 more shows.

We are now running on the 17th and 24th of October. It is unlikely at this point that anymore race dates will be added. I will ask him, but it's likely that we are set for the year.

Looks like alot of rain coming next week.If the 10/17/09 date gets rained out does that mean only one more race for the 2009 season?

Great to see such a good turn out for last nights show, if the fall weather stays decent how about one more open show,50/50 hobby race,

Its a shame with this cool sunny November weather that we could not have ran a couple of north vs south/central open shows.Maybe we can plan something for next year, it never hurts to look ahead.

I agree; the weather is beautiful.

It is my understanding that the schedule needs to be presented to the fairboard for approval prior to the first gates opening of the year. At that time it is hard to predict how the season will go and how the weather will be months later. In the past few years we have been plagued with some rainy weekends early in the season causing some race cancellations. Unfortunately, once everyone submits their schedules it is hard to add at the end of the year without stepping on someone elses points races. Trying to do this causes conflict for the racers and the tracks. Hopefully the coming season will avoid the early months rain-outs and we can have an awesome season start to finish. Mother nature doesn't always cooperate but we can always hope.

If you have to submit to the fair board in the spring, submit all October and November weekends as race dates, then release the schedule to the public with "TBD" on those dates that way your covered.

It is possible that the existing schedule is enough work and the promoter doesn't want to race into November.... which is fine too! everyone needs a break.
As the weather turns cold it would be harder to fill the stands....this time of year just seems busy with the time change and all. Most people just want to stay home in the evenings...
