Title: Re: brake floater ??? Post by SawyerRacing98 on 12/14/09 at 9:43pm you dont need one if there is no where for it to go, so if its up against hub and up against bird cage i dont think it matters, just make sure the birdcage will no move obviously, so i am sure it has a reatiner on it.... i could be wrong but jmo |
Title: Re: brake floater ??? Post by TALON75 on 12/15/09 at 12:01am it should be retained on both sides with the ability to lock it up, there are times where it would not be desirable or you may just not like it at all . It should not rest against the hub(nothing should) and you want as little side to side as possible . |
Title: Re: brake floater ??? Post by Troy Morris Jr. on 12/20/09 at 10:24pm It needs a ring on both sides. |
Title: Re: brake floater ??? Post by Chad_E._Jeffreys on 12/21/09 at 10:45am Make sure your bracket is centered so the caliper can float equally both ways. If it's cheated one way or the other you may wear one pad more than the other and also cause it to drag. Chad |
