Title: PLEASE FEEL FREE TO COMMENT EITHER WAY
Post by Wooliebuger1 on 02/23/10 at 6:40pm

LA Times - Quote of the Week !!!

LA Times said it - Quote of the Week !!!

Who would have thought that the LA TIMES would even allow it on their pages??

Quote  Of The Week:

"Frankly, I don't know what it is about California , but we seem to have a strange urge to elect really obnoxious women to high office. I'm not bragging, you understand, but no other state, including Maine , even comes close. When it comes to sending left-wing dingbats to Washington , we're number one. There's no getting around the fact that the last time anyone saw the likes of Barbara Boxer, Dianne Feinstein, and Nancy Pelosi, they were stirring a cauldron when the curtain went up on 'Macbeth'. The three of them are like jackasses who happen to possess the gift of blab. You don't know if you should condemn them for their stupidity or simply marvel at their ability to form words."

About Women Politicians in California, The ones that were mentioned in Woolie's original post aren't worth a drop of ____, but there are some women coming up through the ranks that will do something someday.

It's my opinion that this post by the LA Times that will start the rally against some lawyer lady looking to run for governor. I've lost her name at the moment and researching it just cured my insomnia!! LOLOL

Meg Whitman is the woman making a serious run at the governors seat, very impressive resume, including CEO of Ebay... I want to hear some facts from her on what she thinks needs to be done in California.

Feinstein, Boxer, Pelosi, I hold them responsible for where california is economically.

Just heard on both CNN, and Foxnews that Ms Boxer is in a fight of her life for her seat, she has almost lost or is even with the contender for her seat.  That would be great news, we need one from each party, would like to see some balance back into government and we need to get someone in this state who has enough guts to shut down this giant welfare state we have become, and cut off people who have been on it for lifetime, and those who are here illegal, no matter where they came from, and how many kids they have dropped.  Today sitting in the waiting room for blood samples, I was listening to 2 white gals, and 3 Hispanic gals talk about having another kid and this ment more from the state, and they all lived in section 8 either housing or low income apartments in this place.  I just wanted to speak up but figured I was out gunned and didnt want to start a war in the waiting room, all were under 21, and all had at least 2 or more kids...Yes I get very mad seeing my state and federal taxes pay for freeloaders...JMOO...Don

Bingo. Let's not forget E-Bay was caught double billing at one time. I don't trust her.

i think she is a moderate AT best but want to hear her speak more in depth about her positions and not just listen to her ads and decide.

Exactly on both counts, want to see her at some new conferences and not just on TV, we got suckered by a snake oil salesman a year ago, and dont need another sheep in wolf's clothing.  We got to do something in this state and somebody with enough guts and grit is going to have to bite the bullet and figure out we cant afford to keep paying for those that dont want to work or suck up our tax dollars with medi-cal. I work for a living may not be as hard as some, but I pay all my taxes and then some, so yes I want to start seeing freeloaders off the rolls and do whatever it takes to at least balance our State budget, and not on the backs of our county and state employees in the police, fire and those who keep bad guys locked up...JMOO...Don

I think were putting to much faith in the Governor, as in the Federal, the congress spends the money, and overrides the veto's.

At least Meg says she wants to create jobs in the private sector.

Everyone else's answer is for government to take over and that just can  NOT work!!!

The problem in Ca, is AND always has been the liberal democrat controlled Assembly and Senate. So, even a "moderate" Republican Governor is lightyears better than "Moonbeam" Brown...............

Yep,   Arnold got all his proposals shot down his first or second year in office.  He's been a lame duck ever since.
