Scott Pounds will be coming out of retirement to race @ Santa Maria Speedway this Saturday August 7th. He will be driving a Late Model for the first time in 4 years. Scott is a Multi time Late Model Champion and former IMCA National Modified Champion. Gates open @ 5pm, Qualifying @ 6pm, Racing @ 7pm.

He finished 4th in a race that was loaded with VERY FAST talent.

His post race interview was quite humble, almost apologetic.

No racin in 4 years and take a 4th place finish, that pretty cool. Must feel good to know that you still have it:)) Look forward to seeing you guys back at Antioch in the future. Have enjoyed watching the higher caliber drivers. It's good for new drivers to watch and learn just how far you can push the modifieds. There are limits for sure but am still in awe just how hard the top drivers carry their speed and momentum around these bull rings.
