the show is running a litlle late as they are still trying to bring in the track..

they ran 6 heats then ran 6 more heats inverted for passing points

track is very tacky and was slimmy in the heats, it's cold here tonight

Hogge Takes $3,500 West Coast Nationals Win at Antioch Speedway

ANTIOCH, Calif. - It was old time racing in the first leg of the West Coast Nationals - Bobby Hogge IV passing veterans Scott Busby of Martinez and Kenny Neu of Oakley for the $3500 win in a lap after lap thriller.

Hogge IV broke free of a side by side, lap after lap battle with Busby on lap 28 of the 35 lap feature.

“It was like mid-90s racing,” Hogge IV told Busby and Neu in victory lane. “I had to really work to get around them.”

“But, he’s no kid anymore,” Busby joked in victory lane. “What a race. It was awesome.”

Invaders Stormy Scott and Jimmy Ray had tires pop and had to leave the feature for repairs. Alex

Stanford was sidelined with mechanical problems.

“We’ll be out to win at Merced,” said Hogge IV. “I’d like to get that bonus.”

If Hogge IV wins Merced, he will collect a total of $8,000.

“I’d like the finish to be the other way around tomorrow at Merced,” Busby said. “It’s a tricky little race track, so anything can happen.”

sawyer did hold off stormy scott in b main,announcer said track record was 15.69 and he was runnin 15.55 was flyin,a main was off the hook nobody tested the 2 spin rule hafta see if he makes merced.hogge was only guy in top 5 that made a pass 8,000 is his to lose.ca drivers dominated 1st night cant see much changin,super tacky track hopefully merced dries up for more passin throughout the field but its only gonna be in the 70s

forgot to metion only 14 bucks to get in $3 burgers 2.50 nachos 1.00 waters i dont know how soares expects to stay open if hes not gonna rape the fans,not to mention keepin the race movin along like they did non-stop action,it was awesome

That was some of the best races i have seen for awhile. Hope merced is just as good tonite. Congrats to team Hogge!
