Title: Passcar Season Hits The Homestretch This Saturday at Perris Post by Media on 09/28/10 at 3:26pm Perris Auto Speedway perrisautospeedway.com For Further Information contact Scott Daloisio (909) 226-7768 or racesatthepas@aol.com PASSCAR SEASON HITS THE HOMESTRETCH THIS SATURDAY AT PERRIS AUTO SPEEDWAY (SEPTEMBER 28, 2010, PERRIS, CA) The PASSCAR Stock Car season hits the home stretch this Saturday night, October 2nd, when Perris Auto Speedway hosts the PASSCAR Super Stocks, Street Stocks, Modifieds, Pick-A-Part American Factory Stocks and the California Lightning Sprint Cars. After Saturday’s race, there will only be one night left, November 20th, for PASSCAR action in 2010. Spectator gates will open at 5:00 PM on Saturday and the first race will be at 5:30. Heading into the last two races of the 2010 campaign and with double points available on the last night, every season championship is still mathematically up for grabs. The only division that appears to be settled is the Modified class where Tustin’s Alan Updyke holds a commanding 106 point lead over Riverside veteran Middy Boggio in the championship hunt. Romoland’s Chris Thompson is only three points behind Boggio. If Updyke prevails, it will be his third PAS Modified championship (he also won in 2005 and 2009). The tightest fight for a coveted season crown is in the Super Stock class. 2002 champion Chad Burns of Mira Loma leads defending series champion Ken Searcy of Nuevo by a mere one point with just two races to go. Brian Pannone of Riverside is in third place only 29-points behind the leader. Moreno Valley’s Curtis Dietzsch has a 65-point advantage over Murrieta’s Stefan Davis as he seeks his third PASSCAR Street Stock title. As well as leading the points at The PAS, Dietzsch, who won the title in 2007 and 2008 and the Victorville Auto Raceway championship in 2009, also leads the points at the High Desert Track this year. On the gas teenager Dalton Everhart of Perris, who races against his Mom and Dad in the Street Stocks, is only two-points behind Davies in the standings. Popular Steve “Bam Bam” Fangmeyer of Nuevo is 50 points in front of Anaheim’s Tim Pyle in the Pick-A-Part American Factory Stocks. Hemet’s Jeff Gillum, who teamed with brother Tom to win the track’s last ever Cruiser title in 2007, is third in the standings. Spring Valley’s Jarrett Kramer, fresh of a win last Saturday night at the Bakersfield Speedway, leads the points over Ramona’s A.J. Bender as he hunts for his first ever California Lightning Sprint Car title. You can keep up with all of the latest news from Perris Auto Speedway on Twitter at: http://twitter.com/perrisautospdwy.
