Title: need some carb help!
Post by propit21 on 12/01/10 at 8:03pm

at the cocopah turkey classic we broke off our air cleaner stud that is in the carb broke clear off from the carb body.

Question is does anyone know how we can fix this or is there something we can buy to change how to hold the air cleaner on?

Can you tig weld a carb? would really like to use this same carb, its really old but works really well. thanks for any help.

you can buy a good copy of a HP Holley center (main body) from Pro Form

Just make sure you get the right one

do you have a picture? I assume it is worse than a drill and re-tap job . What kinda carb is it?

its a pretty old holley 4150 carb that had the chock tower cut down and yeah where the stud went into the carb broke off and there is really nothing left to tap threads into. i will try and get pic but it like it time for a new carb body.
