Title: Tie Rod hitting Frame
Post by jcschlundt on 05/10/11 at 9:54am

I have my RF tie-rod positioned at the bottom of the tie-rod adapter to the spindle.  The tie rod is hitting my frame and causing my steering to lock up in the corners.
Does anybody have a problem with their RF tie rod hitting their frame?  Is there an easy fix?

Thanks

I'm not finding what your talking about on JR or speedway.  Do you know where I can find them?  Thanks

One pretty easy fix is to notch the bottom of the frame horn and weld in a half round piece of pipe where the tie rod is hitting.(if your rules will allow)

I got mine from Stone Motorsports in Winton.

Notching it should work.  Thanks for the help.

We sell an out-pace tie rod that is pre-bent.  Works great.  All Shaw modifieds run them on the right front.  I have several in stock.  I can bring it with me to Tulare this weekend.
