I'm running the Kse tandem fuel pump, that's kinda what has keeper me from going to a alt. because not sure we're I would mount it.

What do ya think

other than in a 200+ Lap Enduro Race, we have Never ran an Alternator

he rick , some guys have done chassis dyno testing on alternators/no alternator , found that even with the slightest voltage drop to the msd they lost @ 4 hp , then put the alternator on ( lil one wire guy) and kept constant peak voltage , and never lost any horse power not even from the alt , again very small alt , maybe 3-4" dia,one wire

when you run a alternator you dont have to charge your battery at all. I have always ran one and never had a problem.

When I ran my mod, I wasn't running an alt... It was a pain in the ars... just one more thing to do. If I had it to do all over, I'd have mounted one on the diff nose. Oh ya, One race my battery took a dump... only had 8 or 10 volts at the end of the night. Wouldn't have mattered if I were running an alt. Every mini stock I've run has had an alt on the motor. Don't plan on changing any time soon.

no, never used one never had a problem
