Title: Fan & driver’s guide 2015 Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout Post by Chris Kearns on 12/16/14 at 9:01am FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE December 17, 2014 _______________________________________ A fan and driver’s guide to the 2015 Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout Event Summary The 2015 Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout will feature Super Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds and X Mods in action during the course of the annual winter mini-series. An open practice session will take place from 6p-9p on Friday, January 9th for all divisions with racing action kicking off on Saturday, January 10th at 5pm with a full program for the Late Models, Modifieds and X Mods. Late Models and Modifieds will compete in all six events while X Mods will compete in five of the six events, only having Wednesday, January 14th off. Grandstand gates will open at 3pm for the weekend events and will open at 5pm for the weekday events. Pit gates will open at 1pm for the 5pm start events and will open at 3pm for the 7pm start events. Lodging The official hotel for the Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout is the Courtyard by Marriott at the Tucson Airport. This is a great place to stay and in close proximity to USA Raceway and offers a $64 per night room rate. Fans can buy a 6-day event ticket for a discounted price of $100 on the opening night. Kids, ages 6-12 will be $10 each day with kids 5 and under free. Pit passes will be $35 each day. A week long pit pass will be sold on practice day for $245 as well. Grandstand admission will be free for practice on January 9th. VIP Tower A limited amount of VIP tickets will be available for $40 each day and those VIP All Access passes will allow access to the pit area as well as the VIP booth. 6-day VIP passes will be available at the ticket office on January 10th while single day VIP passes will be sold at the gate on race date only. Weekday events begin at 7pm with grandstands opening at5pm and pit gates opening at 3pm. Pit gates will open at 2pm for practice night on January 9th. Drivers will draw for their respective heat races and then will earn passing points during those events. The top 16 in total passing points in each division will transfer directly to their feature event. The top 6 in overall passing points will be inverted for their starting positions in the main events, with drivers in positions 7-16 starting straight up in those feature starting positions. Heat race winners will automatically transfer into the night’s feature as well, meaning if a heat race winner does not end up in the overall top 16, he will bump someone and transfer to the main event. Late Model and Modified features will start 24 cars and X Mod features will start 20 cars nightly. Camping Camping will be FREE at this year’s Wild West Shootout. We will also have restroom facilities and garbage collection locations for the campers this year in the camping area.
