how did the southern sport mods stack up against the northerns at the duel ?
are any/all the the western states tracks specifically northern or would /will they allow southerns to mix in ? :o

I'm going to guess that you know the differance between the two of them.

From what i know, and seen, a Southern SportMod (SSM) won both nights at this year Duel, a SSM also won last years (2013) duel.

Weight, Tires and Rear Spoiler is what makes the SSM better then a Nothern SportMod(NSM).

SSM weight is 2350lbs and NSM is 2500lbs.

SSM has run a Hoosier 500, the NSM has to run Hoosier G60.
The 500's are made from real rubber.

SSM the rear spoiler is 8in and the NSM is 5in.

I would take a SSM over a NSM anytime, anyplace, any track conditions.

There is a big fight here in AZ between SSM owerners and promoters.
The promoters have noticed that the SSM are, without a dout faster then the NSM, and have forced the SSM to comply with NSM rules or choose not to race at there track.

Az Speedway and Central AZ speedway, Chris Caldwell has been winning champships here in Az in 2010, 11, 12, 13. This year he had to run his SSM under NSM, (Weight, Tires, Rear Spolier). Chris still came in 4th in points at both tracks, but not anything like the last 4 years.

thankx for yur reply , I built a southern and I would like to run against nsm in full ssm trim . I understand that most western tracks adopted nsm rules I just hope they'll let me run withem
