the americans were taken off that weekend long ago!!!  if you go to the web site you will notice there are no americans running!!

You know guys...I don't know, nor really care.  I've never seen the AMERICAN STOCKS in action.  They might put on a great show. (I'm sure I'd enjoy them better than ANY sprint car race)  I love watching the factorystocks at SMS when they aren't trying to simulate a demolition derby.

No LOVE, No HATE...no real opinion on the class...and never made any impressions of having one...

My comments (Other than my sarcastic comment to Billy's message) is, if you AMERICAN STOCK racers want a socalled "NATIONAL"  Create one.

Once you come up with your ideas, needs, etc. work on putting the event on the schedule SOMEPLACE, promote it EVERYWHERE you can..and MAKE IT HAPPEN.

No negativity towards a class that (Like MOST grassroots classes) the racers involved in...LOVE.

Some guys sit and WISH a race would happen...Others do something to MAKE it happen.  The more that are willing to work to MAKE it happen, the louder your voice will be, the better chance you have of getting what you want...

PERIOD, I don't care if it's a race, a rule, a price, or a payout...

Same note, I've heard in the past a few classes that were not happy with a payout at an event.  If say this class (what ever you called it) only pays 300 to win...get together with ALL the racers in that class, and get ALL of them to kick another 10, 20, 30 bucks into a seperate pot(everbody needs to put in the same amount) and you've basically got a SIDE pot (like a side bet)

If a certain racer doesn't want to take part in that "side pot" he wouldn't have to contribute..nor would he benefit from it.  There are WAYS to make things happen.

i think everyone has lost sight of the subject american stocks deserve just as much track time as everyone else you dont see them screwing around with lm, imca, ss, or hobby stocks schedule it's a disapointment to the drivers, their familys who support them 100%, and the fans who love to watch them race. the american stocks deserve to have their nationals put back on the schedule no classs deserve to be put on and taken off every other weekend. i see where your coming from sept. 02 is going to be a great night to watch but why keep the mini's on every class deserve's the same respect even the smaller classes their are some american stock drivers that can flat out race and put on a show and have just as much fans as everyone else

Just my opinion, but this seems to have ignited a fire in some and my suggestion would be to be creative instead of combative.

Follow the example of the E/W and Sandie Simkins and the W.A.S. and  most recently Rick Childress and affect a change in your division with solidarity and cooperation.

WE all can perpetuate a problem by coming here and BITCHEN about it OR WE CAN COME HERE AND TRY TO BE A PART OF THE SOLUTION TO THAT PROBLEM.

Some fine examples have come forward for ALL to see in the last couple of years with Mr. Childress's project just getting off the ground ,  it appears another success story will emerge with ALL OF THE HOBBY STOCK DIVISIONS COOPERATION.

COOPERATION  =  SUCCESS

fragmentation  =  failure..............GUARANTEED.......look at the recent past for examples.

That movie is a classic--- Grew up on that stuff. My wife can't stand that movie. It's like wife kryptonite.

sounds like scott is dropping the ball over there on you guys so why not come over to sms where you can race and will get paid to race and not dropped for a lower class of cars like the minis we all know the american stock factory stock and hobbies put on a better show than most and well if they are gonna bring a nextel driver bring a good one like harvick or gordon or johnson who grew up over there but most nascar fans that would be interested in that little race will be in fontana anyways at the real cup race so why drop poor local racers that bring the money for a little exebition race that proablly wont make what he is thinking but anyways jason and gang long story short come over to sms you know u are welcome anytime and well wish i could be there to see the race but i will be in fontana on the 3rd so i hope to hear u guys came and raced and g/l with this issue and the nationals being dropped hope he makes it up to you
