robbySAWYER Ex Member	TIRES!!!! 08/24/06 at 5:39pm so i talked to terry today and he might not be able to get any tires, if this is true, then i feel it is only right to allow to run softs, at least on the fronts, we need tires for this weekend, and if we cant get them what do you expect us to do... Medium all the way around, per the rules. Been this way for a few months now, so you should have some, and if you don't start looking. Like you said on another thread on 8-22, it's the rule, deal with it...lol back at ya...

Dump the "Hoosier only" part of the tire rule. Suggest
any 8" wide tread DOT tire on an 8" wide rim.
The brand exclusive rule only puts $$$ in the rule
enforcer's pocket and costs everyone else. There are
other DOT tires out there. "Look around" Try American
Racer web page. Southwest Racing says that they
will have a Hoosier size DOT tire out next year.
The Amer. Racer tire sells for $105. Not much of a
savings but it is an alternative. ALSO-DROP THE
TIRE COMPOUND REQUIREMENT RULE. It doesn't help
anything. I'll bet that Sawyer would sell his asphalt
take-offs real cheap.jmo
