Rooby Sawyer please stay at irwindale as a fan of yours asphalt will get you farther than mud will. You finished second last time i was there wins will come down the line then next step maybe srl action and then maybe west series. Dont get caught up in speedway politics let them run the mud show.

The mud show? Pavement is boring dude. Irwindale is boring dude. Politics? Race dirt and have fun, race pavement and lighten your wallet. The mud show? Go to "Boringdale" to fall asleep, go to the Okie Bowl and be on your feet! The mud show? You got to be jokin bra!

come on mark..."boringdale", dude, some people say that watching paint dry is better than watching a race on pavement...i sometimes agree...last night the late model main was a crash fest...i love the dirt but last night was terrible...the drivers did not use there heads...you got to be jokin bra..."boringdale" was north of bako last night...

don't blame the track either, they don't drive the cars...

The newbies that came to Bak last night for the 1st time are, a crew chief on a top 5 super stock and his wife. The other was a spotter for another team and "they" said that Irwindale is a borefest compared to the DLM's. Just their opinion and mine as well. I live 23 minutes from that overpriced track and find it sterile and stale. They had their best time at a track this year which says something to me. As far as the Main last night I would say that yes the first 30 were butt ugly but did you not find the last 16 laps of the Drake, Pounds duel entertaining? Were the heats entertaining, yes they were. Did you find the stirring drive of Papenhousen from the back of the B&A fun to watch? Or was the race completely terrible as you say on a overall basis.  I hope you look at the whole picture of the night and not just the yellows. Everybody in the turn 3&4 area  had a great time and said that the overall night was a blast.
Oldman 98 I am sure you have been around the block on this stuff and you are entitiled to your view, maybe we see things differently. But the mud show? I have converted now about 10 people from the borefest of "Boringdale" to the down home feel of Bak. and the "Much"more exciting action of the Dirt Late Models on dirt. JMO

Nope, they all dislike the sprinters for various reasons. They are stock car folks.

mark...i thought the races saturday night were very good...the minis main was one of the best races i have seen...pap coming from the back was great...i've seen that many times before with him and others...i am one that does not leave early when i go to the races but the other night was a different story...after 22 laps of seeing such a joke from the boys, i shagged along with the people i went with...i wasn't driving either...i guess were even since i have converted about 10 myself...by the way, whats the mud bowl...boringdale was used to describe the late model main event, not the whole evening...i checked my last post and it had nothing to say about the evenings show just the main event...just the hour and 15 min. main event...boringdale

I hear you, no problem. The minis put on a dang good race. Some main events are grim, some are grim for half the laps, others are grim thru and thru. Oh well.

Speaking of what Mark calls "BoringDale"

I just hope when the KernCounty track gets built (OR is that an IF) that they do SOMETHING to make it more exciting.  (You know EVERYBODY would love a WEST COAST BRISTOL...something w/ some BANKING)

The old OILDALE track was cool as an asphalt track.  Very fun, good tight racing too.

Been there..done that...

Even got an email from Larry Collins the other day.

I'm really hoping this track does happen.  I've heard from a couple people (In Taft) that there is a TON of red tape.

The proposed sketches look really good (Except for the track shape...WHERE'S the Bristol Banking? ) LOL

The last few years, the MOST Popular tracks and most requested tracks to COPY have been Bristol and Richmond

Perfect 1/2 mile and perfect 3/4 mile

SORRY Robby, didn't mean to hijack this thread w/ ASPHALT stuff on a dirt site.
