Any word whether the $100 entry covers the drivers' pit pass' or not?

That's what I am talking about. Myself and my pitcrew will cost me $340.00.
I was wondering if the $100 entry included the pit passes for the driver.
Thanks,

I asked this question last week and am still waiting on an answer. It is the end of the year and funds are tight on the racers end, help us out and make it affordable!!

It looks like all divisions have the same entry? i'm thinkin 100+40+40+70(for gas). Just 250 to get on the track. It is $1500 to win and $100 to start though. I hope we get alot of cars.

Lets see,
2005 entry 140 includes pit passes of 60 for two days = 80 entry. 75 to start a main
2006 entry 100 not including pit passes of 80 for two days = 100 entry. 100 to start a main
Looks like to me just a increase of 20 bucks from last year which is pretty fair if you look at all the cost to the track has gone up. Plus if you don't make it to Saturday you dont have to buy a pit pass and save 40 bucks. Last year I bought a two day pass and didn't need it for Saturday and no refund. JMO

lates, mods and supers are same entry but more money to win and start. Wasn't the entry for late models last year 200+? Seems like maybe we are paying the late model purse. I know the lower divisions pay the higher divisions' purse and thats just the way it is. But we deserve to be taken care of just as much as the late model and super street guys.
What's this "if you don't make it to saturday" stuff. All we run on Friday is heats. c-mains, b-mains ands a's are all on saturday.

Heres why: hobby stocks are not the draw....I think there are a great division to watch but thats not what the town of Bako thinks. Thats why late models, mod etc run for more money. Wait for the twin 50 and take a look in the stands. I bet you will see more concrete on that night then you do at the nationals. For your other question: I was told when I asked in pre tech that because of time on Saturday they will run some d,c main on Friday if possible or what if you brake, Answer is- dont come back on saturday and buy a pit pass.

quit complaining and go race. the entry is what it is. u dont see all of us american stocks complaining about our nationals. we have to pay 85 for our entry and pit pass+gas and were only racing for 500 to win. so if your in it for money then go somewhere else cuz u wont find it in california for any dvision, but if ur in it for fun then quit complaining and go have fun. i will be racing in thise race with my american and im not complaining. just pay it and have fiun. if ur worried about it then just go win the 1500 and get more than ur money back. and also i dont know who IGOLOW is but i think there wrong. hobby stocks have grown a lot over the last couple years and there r a lot of people that enjoy watching them. u may not like watching them but u r one of the few at bako i bet. so u should keep that opinion to urself

kevin does have a point about if your in it for the money get out. but ponder this one ,in order to break even or make money you would have to finish third or better!!

My concern on this issue is not just for myself, but also for the potential out of town guy. On a typical night you pay $30 to race and get $25 back if you get last. For this race you have to get 7th to get your entry back. At $100 inc. pit pass, I think the pits would be packed with cars from all over. At $180 I am afraid many cars will just sit this one out and wait for the twin 50's. Don't get me wrong, I think Scott and the speedway staff have done a great job all year. All I want is to see a hobby stock race at the speedway with 60+ cars. That's what the track deserves.

My stance on the cost of racing debate has always been, don't raise the purse, lower the entry or pit pass cost to make it more affordable. I appreciate everything the track has done and I appreciate having the opportunity to race for a $1500 prize. Like I said I just want to see the pits packed.

Chad I would like to join you and others at the Bud Nationals but it is unlikely I will be there due to the cost. While I agree with your conclusion I disagree with your arguement. Every racer has a budget that he must live by. Your budget can't be based on potential winnings. You have to go to the track assuming you will win nothing.
Every racer is on the track because he/she loves the thrill of the race. Winning money is just a bonus. Some racers have enough talent to win races consistantly and enough karisma to win major sponsorships. These are the few that do'nt have to pay out of their own pocket to do what they love. The rest of us must pay to play.
Also if you looked at the nightly cost to race an LM vs winnings compared to the cost to race a hobby vs winnings you would see the hobbies are the favored ones.

After looking at the purses for the other divisions, the hobbys are getting the best deal. I am afraid that out-of-towners will not look past the entry. If they look closely though they will see that they are getting a very good deal. Are there any out of town hobbys planning on coming to this race?? I think we had about 45 cars the last 2 years. I'd like to see more than that this year.

There was quite abit of interest expressed at SMS last night and I would guess at least 5 or 6 FS are going but I won't try to speak for them by giving names.
