These are the preliminary rules for the A/S Nationals

Bakersfield American Stock Rules Apply with the following exceptions....

1. Locked Rear Ends Allowed

2. 1 Q-jet or Holley 4412 500 cfm Carb Allowed

3. Beadlocks Allowed on Right Side Only must be  min. 30 psi at all times

4. If not running Beadlocks no PSI Rule

5. Added Weight OK.

if these rules r being changed to try and get out of town cars such as SMS to come over it doesnt do much good becuase of the fact that uj still have to run the 112" wheel  base. so if thats what these rule changes are for i dont see tha it will help. but u can bet i will be changing them if thats the rules

whats the diff between american stock open cars and hobby stocks?

If we change the wheelbase rule then all a  Hobby Stock has to change is an intake and they can TAKE YOUR PRIZE MONEY. This is the problem with A/S nationalswe don't have many tracks to pull cars from so we cannot cater to them this is for you guys. Any questions aks.

SMS Factory stocks have historicaly run with the Hobbies. Until very recently- we would have to race with them at SM as well as Bako.

No- The guy that came over wasn't even a regular at Bako. He ran the first race of the season at SMS. We had lots of new cars this year. He never said "I'm from out of town- My car is a hobby stock, can I run with you guys", etc. He just signed up and put the car on the track. When he won- It became an issue because the car wasn't even close to a Factory stock.
Hobbies in the past have asked the track before turning laps. It has usually been granted with conditions. Ivan ok'd us to run some with your Hobbies on a limited basis also.

Side note- I would still love to see the Factory class move towards the Bako Hobby rules, If for only to allow running both tracks.

Also, you can run any size tire 235, 225 and 215 on any of the four corners. You may also play with your camber on the right front.
