Despite Rumors, Modified Showdown $3,000 to Win is still on this Saturday Night!  

OUTLAW MOTOR SPEEDWAY, 8 Miles South of Muskogee, Oklahoma & 11 Miles North of I-40 on HWY 69 -   Come see some of the best Modified drivers in the nation Saturday night at The Fastest 3/8th mile in the Mid-West while they battle for $3,000 to the winner. Depsit rumors fliying around the racing comunity, this race is still scheduled.

The 4th Annual Modified Showdown is finally here boasting $3,000 to the winner of the feature race. With a guaranteed $300 to start this night is guaranteed to bring a smile to the race fan's face.  The race is sponsored by Hooters of Tulsa and Morris Fabrication in Ft. Gibson, OK.

With one of the best payouts in the region, totaling over $17,000 the 30 lap A-Feature race should be one to remember. Drivers from around the region will be strapping up for one of the most exciting races of the year. Drivers not making the main event but racing in the B-Feature will make $50.

As of 9/25/05 there were only 21 pre-entered drivers for the race, leaving plenty of room for late entries Saturday!

Last year it was Gentry Arkansas #5 Steve Holzkamper that took the win after stealing the lead away from Pea Ridge, Ark. #12x Johnny Bone Jr. on lap 19, then held off Muskogee’s #77 Gary Andrews the final 21 laps for his pay check.

In 2004 it was local hero Muskogee’s #89 Tate Cole that methodically worked his way up through the field from his 18th starting spot to take the lead away from Andrews with two laps remaining for the win.

In 2003 it was Longview, Texas’ #2 Kenny Gaddis that led every lap to take home the first ever Modified Showdown race.

Pit Entry - Adults - $30, Kids $20.

Pure Stock, Economy Modified and Hobby Stock will also be racing on the night for regular pay.

CHAMPIONSHIP BANQUET DATE SET- The 2006 Points Championship banquet will be held January 6th, 2007 at the Castle of Muskogee at 7:00 pm. The late date is due to the Castle being closed for the month of December for the Holiday Festival. Other arrangements with the Azalea Inn could not be confirmed so the decision was to move the date back.
