just wondering what gear people are running in modifieds mainly bako, but also watsonville, chowchilla and sms....my tranny is 1 to 1.

same as watsonville/chowchilla.
just depends on how much torque your motor has.
  529 w/ long stroke & lots of compression
  583 w/ short stroke or little cubic inch

Re-visiting an old topic here. How does Perris compare to any of these tracks. A buddy of mine has 5.14, 5.43, 5.67, and 5.83. The 5.83 will run Ventura, the 5.67 will do SMS/Bako(we think). He is willing to give me one of the others to turn into 6.00. We need to keep a set together for a possible Perris run. Given this info, which set would likley be better for Perris? the 5.14 or the 5.43, or would a 5.29 set be better. I just don't know Perris that well. Thanks for the help.
