the best money can buy.  crank is 32lb cam is all roller bearing but still a solid cam... it has needle bearings where cam rides in block.  entire block is completely polished inside.  cam is from hendrick motorsports.  engine is 12.5:1.  motor is a wet sump with an external belt driven oil pump. shaft rockers, all T&D. 49cc DART heads all manley valves.  20k invested in engine.... asking 10k.... no pumps or pullys go with it except the belt driven external oil pump.  engine never runs over 180 degrees... 364.9 cubic inch.  built by standridge engineering.  dyno with 2 bbl with air cleaner and full exhast system in 103 heat... 487 horsepower with 486 torque.  never ran over 7400 rpm all season...(we ran 7400 chip)

So you spent 20 grand on a super street motor and only won 3? races. No wonder they can't get any cars. I thought that dollar figure was just b.s. but I believe you. I didn't really think people were spending that much money.

I would not have spent that money, i bought that engine off HPS when i started running SUPER LATE MODELS at Irwindale.  Its all i had, so we changed pistons and heads to run in the SS class... Cost me 3500 to switch it over to a SS motor.  we ran aluminum heads at irwindale.

3 mains... one fast time and only one heat win... but out of 20 races i had 15 top 5's and 1 dnf

This is exactly why this division is dying!!! 20 grand on a Street Stock engine???? That means the guy with the most money wins not the best driver... 20 k on a streeter engine is STUPID!!!  Smiley

Its all I had.Thats a BS excuse and you still spent 3500.00 to convert it over to be legal? If you get 10k for that motor(Still big bank)You have enough money for at least 2 Mod motors.

At least you were smart enough to the the ship before it totaly sank.
And smart move to sell the car before the motor.Kudos on that.
