I don't know enough about them to make a descision one way or another.
I was told Malcolm had ram horn exaughst and vortex heads when we drag raced for the win. They are both against the rules, but I was beat in handling.
I for one don't care. but VV rules say no on both counts, and VV has more than a few whiney ass people in that class, so don't expect to get away with it.
I'd like to spill my secret, but all I can say is I am Sooo under legal in the head department, you'd be pissed to know what I've beat you with. It pays to have an engine builder that knows what he's doing.
BTW, I just noticed why our 4th in points was DQ'd, Bako allows a bigger exaughst valve. 1.60 vs 1.50. I bet he had the smaller cam also. That sucks. That ol man came down and ran consistantly on or right near tech pad all season, only to lose it on the season tech. went from 4th to 7th. But on the otherhand with 40 years of racing experience, you'd think he know how to read the rules.
Still, It'd be nice if the rules were the same all over. They are so close anyway.
BTW, afco from what i seen doesn't sell ez ups or tie downs. Do you have a part number?? Not accusing or anything, i just haven't found them.
AFC-1022 RF
AFC-1034 LR
These are from day motorsports 62.99.\
We just use pro straight valve stock mount shocks on the other 2 corners. I think Devan used the same shocks you have. You can ask him if changing to the afcos was worth it. I personally have never ran the pro adjustables.

I don't think Malcom has vortec heads (at least he didn't on 11/22 when they had us pull valve covers) and our tech guy won't let the novas (Malcom runs a nova) run ram horns because he says they won't clear the crossmember unless you move the engine back.
He is just a good driver with a good handling car that, in my experience, always drives you clean (as I think you can atest). Just fyi
Handling is everything.

Curtis is correct, and he can verify that Don (Perris tech guy ) made me remove my center dumps last year and move my engine forward to what he excepted as stock location. Tommy was running for points and Don wouldn't have allowed him to run center dumps.
I run the 602 crate motor, and at 3 thousand bucks w/ intake, dist, oilpan, and valve covers w/breathers, it's a deal. Straight from the local G.M. dealer so no shipping costs.
it runs right with the 6 to 7 thousand
dollar Dugan, and Orange race motors.
they would probably dyno a few more ponies but not 3 to 4 thousand dollars worth.
I pull 6700 to 7000 rpms. I have probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 to 35 races on it in two years with just basic maintenance.
What engine builder can offer a decent motor with intake, hei, oilpan, valvecovers etc. for 3 thousand bucks.
no core, no nothing.

Ok, Ok, I was only repeating what I heard. And regardless I said I wasn't out motored. i was definately beat on handling (just barely) which is a HUGE improvement for me.
CD, Take Chads word as gold. He absolutely smoked us when he ran in 2007.
My bro Jackson ended up being the only guy to hang with him eventually. All he did was change the gearing in the trans to make it quicker and squared the car. He also moved the weight around.
He's always used the same landrums the car came with and has pro 50/50's all the way around.
Don't tell anyone. This stuff wins races
