Most guys are running 7.33 or 7.48 for final drive. There is a lot of variables that affect jet size. I had a stock holley carb that I had to run 81's with.

Hey Kolby, I run 81's in mine, The exaust will burn your eyes at an Idle. I am going with the 7.33 and around 6800 rpms. If you are going to run the powerglide in low run 4.11's. You will lose a fair amount of power going through the planetary gears in low.

I ran a 73 which means nothing for your engine.  You need to do a plug reading after hotlaps.  Make sure the plug is white with a hint of tanning on the porceline as it goes down into the chamber of the sparkplug.  That's the only way you'll put the correct jet for your engine.

They had to compensate for the 16-1 compression.

Hey, what's wrong with 16:1, other than bouncing the heads off of it?
