Steet (Hobby) Stock Tires

It sounds like the tire I use (Kelly Charger) is being discontinued, at least in the sizes I use most. I need to find a replacement. The four brands that I have heard others use are:

Cooper Cobra's
Road Huggers
Uniroyal Tiger Paws
Firestone Firehawk

Anyone have opinions on the tires above? Anyone have any other suggestions? How much is everyone paying for a tire these days?

They seem pretty soft for a street tire. I have read on other forums that cooper cobras are good as well but they do not perform well on a dry track.

Sidewalls are a little thinner than the Huggers or Paws. Never ran Hawks but heard they are great. I don't think that you can go wrong with any of the tires listed. I'd run what I could get a deal on.

I would assume that those are the "indy 500s". A couple of guys at perris have used them in the past. I couldn't find any this past weekend though.

$100+ for a tire is just a little out of my budget (for a little more we might at well go to hoosiers).

Saw a couple of guys with hercules tires and got one thumbs down on them.

I have gotten mostly good reviews for the cobra's and tiger paws.
