cordless impact
04/27/09 at 1:47pm
Who makes the best cordless impact wrench?
I know to avoid the harbor freight special (first hand). Are there any other brands to avoid?
Thanks,
CD

No just the more torque the better for removing them.

I have had a DeWalt 18v for over 3 years now and never let us down.
I think they are over 400 ft lb off.
I know the Snap On's are good though

We used Snap- On for a couple of years and it was absolutely flawless. I'd have to bet the DeWalt is pretty strong too. Chad

I bet the Snap On hurts the most when you go back to the hot pit area and it is gone--Lol

It has been my experience with cordless power tools, that the batteries fail long before the tool ever does.
If someone made a bad a$$ line of batteries that lasted a couple of years and fit all makes of tools, they would make a fortune

Snap on also makes a drill , 3/8 impact and a sawzall that take the same battery. High dollar stuff but it works great...
