So here is what I can disclose at this time: The Open show on October 10th will not be a points race. But don't let that stop you because the payout will be a good one. John Soares is still working the exact figures. The numbers he threw to me during our conversation will make any attendee happy. He hopes to have it finalized by Monday so that I can pass it on to you all.

Open Show Payout Announcement!

October 10th Open Show payout is based on 20 cars in each division and are as follows:

Dirt Modifieds purse will be $1500 to win. The minimum payout for starting the A main event will be $125.

Super Stocks purse will be $1000 to win. The minimum payout for starting the A main event will be $100.

Hobby Stocks purse will be $800 to win. The minimum payout for starting the A main event will be $100.

To clarify; first place will not earn the minimum payout plus purse money. Any cars starting the main event will be taking home at the very least the minimum payment. Obviously the better you run, the more you will bring home.

The entry fee for supers will be $75 and for the hobbies will be $65. Pit passes are $40. No word on drivers meeting but it typically happens around 4:30

Purse should be paid that night.

For clarification purposes:

You car must run in the class it is supposed to. That is the only rule!

Nothing is illegal...Modifieds will be running with Modifieds. Super Stocks will be running with Super Stocks. Hobby Stocks will be running with Hobby Stocks.

I have been told in the past you may have seen wings, spoilers and all sorts of interesting sites at the "Run what you brung" shows.

Hopefully I have successfully cleared this up, as vaguely as possible-hehe. Sorry guys thats the answer I got...hope to see all you this Saturday

Reply #21 - 10/05/09 at 8:44pm heck wings & sideboards would be awesome to see. havent seen them run since a show about 8 or 9 years ago in bako. the late models with the huge sideboards went around there in around 10 seconds flat, & i doubt they lifted. real racin the way it should be
