Nobody's going to talk to you on here--lol

I've seen them at the swap meets, and they look pretty complicated, made me wonder "if they work so good, why are they at the swapmeet"

i dont know if im right or not but my understanding is its like a limited slip, fully locked down the straights and slips in the turns to give more grip to the tire with less traction. which i would think would make it easier to drive without having a too loose or to tight feeling. but from what ive heard are only an advantage on a dry slick track.

The biggest advantage of these is that they free up the car through the middle of the turn without having to use stagger to turn the car. They don't lock up as forcefully and abruptly as say a Detroit. They are also adjustable.

I use one in the asphalt cars and we used to run one in a dirt late model back in the 80s.  The biggest advantage is you do not have to run as much stagger as you do with a spool.  The car corners better as it unlocks some what, but as you exit the turns you have both tires that are closer in size and pulls better up off the corner in stead of one tire having to rotate at such a different rate compared to the other.  You can get different tightness of goldtracks, a "full tight" is almost like a spool, I run a "3/4 tight" which gives more in the turns.  I never ran anything less than a 3/4 tight.  They also sure are nice when having to push the car around by hand as they unlock when turning.  You know what it is like trying to push a car with those wide tires when you turn the steering wheel it is like putting on the brakes.  I would still run one today on dirt if I had more of them.
