Update on Tina Wheeler! I  wasnt there to see the race I am just posting what I was told as far as the crash! She was racing her mini stock main and I beleave went to avoid a car that spun in front of her and hit the wall very hard and rolled her car. I was told she also broke the wall!

I do know this part! Thats when she was taking to KMC in lots of pain! She has a fracurted wrist, She had to have her fingers sewed shut  bc it was split open with the bone hanging out! She lost a nail and she has deep tissue brusing in her jaw! They thought she had broke it but with all the testing it showed it was a deep brusing! She also has Bumps and LOTS of Brusies all over! She is home now recovering and very sore!  Hope you get to feeling better soon Tina!
   Thanks, Shelley Crawford

P.S. I have picture of her from the hospital last night! I just dont know how to post them if anyone knows how just P.M. me!

The L13 car moved down a lane, caught the 29 in the right rear, turned Tina completely around, still with momentum, Tina hit the wall with the LEFT front (there is cement packed in to the hub, and you can see the white in the tire in Tom's photos) which means she hit the wall with her drivers side at near racing speeds. Then she proceeded to roll as seen in Tom's photos.

I just went to see my sister and take her presciptions to be filled. She is in tons of pain laying on the couch trying not to move at all. She has ice packs around her neck and chest to get the swelling and burising to be as little as possibile. I'm glad that she is so freakin tuff and that she didnt get hurt any worse then she did. I will have pics of the car if anyone would like to see the aftermath.

That did look like a pretty nasty ride,  just shows that no matter what class Safety is important!  Glad she wasn't hurt any worse.....
I guess it's true when they say  the bruises hurt worse than the breaks.....

Tina is very greatful and thankful for everyones thoughts and concerns for her. The medication they gave her makes her very tired so she is sleeping as much as possible.
And she said thanks Chris for the concern of her nail. Lol

Tina,

I'm very sorry about the crash I was right behind you when it happened.  I wanted so bad to get out of my car cause I saw everything and "felt" the impact from my seat.  I'm happy to hear your okay...

All of the mini Drives when we were parked on the red light were trying to yell to each other and the fans in the stands to find out if you were okay.  You had a lot of people worried =)

All of the pictures show what CAN happen.

ANYONE who drives a race car wishes the best for Tina and a quick recovery.

We ALSO want to be thankful for the SAFETY RULES that have been put in place so we can endure crazy stuff like that and be back to race again.

Thank you track promoters and tech/safety inspectors!

We gave you a hard time all season long, BUT, because of you, we WILL be back to race next year!!!
