Can we run aluminum radiators.  They are about as cheap through summit as the plastic tank POS radiators through Carquest or Napa.

Less yellows Chris.  Get those pesky Minis off the track quicker.

The rules only state that the radiator must be in the stock position.

There is NO mention of the type of material, or brand,  they must be.

Speedway has a two row radiator for 109.00.but we have always been able to run aluminum radiators as long as it mounts in stock location.

I would have thought FWD would be in the SMS rules for 2010............since they kick your RWD's patootie................lol

It's NOT the driving wheels that count.  It's the horsepower to weight ratio.

Engines from the 70's and 80's don't produce anywhere near the power of similar sized powerplants of the 90's, therefore, a class based on weight vs. engine SIZE gives the FWDs an edge.

IF the class was based on weight vs advertised HORSEPOWER,  I seriously doubt if you'd notice a difference.

The 2009 Mini Stocks at SMS produced a good car count EVERY time they ran.

Cris Kearns watched that during the year, THEN decided NO CHANGE.  Why alienate a solid base of rear wheel cars to introduce something new, and, at this time, un-necessary?

Even though the newer technology could produce more efficient, faster, cars, it isn't necessary.  Keeping all the cars competitive is more important.

If not, then why is NASCAR still requiring CARBURETORS?
