As the car rolls, it applies pressure to the wheel

Don't know where you plan on running, but if it is at Antioch, you might call someone to clarify some stuff, seems a little confusing to me.......????

Under Chassis and Suspension they list......

12. All cars MAY HAVE LEAF SPRINGS OR --- "THREE POINT SUSPENSION" (which would be coils).  UPPER AND LOWER ARMS ON THREE POINT SUSPENSION MAY BE A MAXIMUM OF 20 INCHES LONG.  UPPER THREE LINK MUST BE ONE SOLID LINK, NO SPRINGS NO RUBBER GROMMETS. (no mention of panhard bar)

Then under Rear ends they list........

4. Coil cars must have four (4) links. Adjustable upper links OK. Stock lowers w/multi-hole locations
OK. Offset bolts OK. No panhard or J-bar allowed.

7. PANHARD BARS ON 9 INCH FORD REAR ENDS MUST BE IN BACK OF THE HOUSING AND MUST BE MOUNTED ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE FRAME TO THE LEFT SIDE OF THE REAR END.  QUICK CHANGE CARS MAY RUN A J BAR, BUT MUST BE MOUNTED ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE FRAME, LEFT SIDE OF THE REAR END.

Rayburn mounts there long bar just the opposite.  Whats the different affect? on there short bar (pinion mount)  its done chassis left.   Opinions?

I think the LM get a ton of bite from the angles of their bars so they don't need to plant the tire on the RR hard.  On a stock type suspension planting that RR hard will give you more side bite.  I know on asphalt cars it's opposite as well.

Both mounting options can work, but think about what is happening at the roll center (center of the panhard) as the car rolls/pitches on corner entry and the effects of the rearend rotating upwards/back under acceleration and the effects of deceleration.  You'll notice on the leftside frame mount, the RC can drop depending on how much/little lift you have on the Left frame- that's why most modifieds run it in front of the rearend to take advantage of the rising RC.  I'd stick with a left side frame mount and keep it short- you may need to fabricate a mount on the rear of housing to mount it.

i know on a late model if you put a short straight panhard bar on the left side of the chassis to the left sife of the pinion it gives you a TON of bite.

just went to the racewise set up school last weekend in denver. As i mentioned before if you mount it on the right side chassis it would be great for pavement... mount panhard of left side of chasis and right side of axle.
