Good Racing Last Night!
07/11/10 at 11:45am

After the last few weekends I've been to at petaluma being total snoozers last night came through with flying colors!    Daly (sp) in the 32B latemodel was a pleasure to watch!  The kid is as agressive as I've seen in recent memory but really drives with class.  Countless times he could have upset both the 29 car and the 59 car to make the pass, but he was patient and passed them both clean, which I think ultimately cost him the win, as I don't think Decker could have held him off if he had a couple more laps.

The sprint main was good, the bulk of it I spent watching Ensign and Terrell coming up through the feild with Jeff putting on a ridiculous display of two wheeled traction!  Right up to the end when the 2b car hit traffic on the last lap and Mike Benson put down one of the nicest displays of quick thinking in traffic I've seen lately to hang Jeremy Burt out to dry.

I'm also glad I stayed for the super stock race, that one also came down to the last lap with Tim Haskins just missing the main event win by a fender to Steve Dempsy.

Agreed Ford,

Doesn't get much better than that.  Even the one runaway winner, Michael Paul, Jr. took over the point lead on Saturday, making the Dirt Mod main event the most important one of the night season-wise.

Super Stocks separated by a fender.
Last lap passes/near passes in Late Models and Sprint Cars.
Dirt Mod point leader change.
Wingless ends in a huge wreck between father and son, handing the win to a guy trying to win one for his recently passed father.

This was a night for the history books for sure.

Ron

Side note:  Geoff Ensign needs a nickname.  I'm throwing it out to the fans for suggestions this Saturday night.  Larry's going to hate that, but I think it'll be fun.
