Petaluma Speedway's "Open Wheel Madness" show this Saturday showcases four divisions of racing which look similar, but couldn't be more different. The Petaluma 3/8ths hosts the All-Pro 360 Winged Sprint Car division, with their cousins of the wingless and carbureted variety, the Wingless Sprint Cars. Also on hand, the only appearance by the BCRA Midgets at the Speedway along with their winged cousins, the Midget Lites. All four divisions promise to be packed with action throughout.
Presently, Sebastopol's Bradley Terrell holds a 29 point lead in the 360 season series at Petaluma Speedway over Calistoga's Mike Benson, and 35 over Rohnert Park's Camron Mendes. Santa Rosa's Scotty DuPont leads Wingless standings by just 14 points over Santa Rosa's Sparky Howard. Coincidentally, DuPont owns both division leading cars after giving up his 360 Sprint Car seat to Terrell, who was without a car after losing a motor in his family owned #43 earlier in the season.
Presently, the BCRA standings are headed by Nick Foster, Jr. who enjoys a near insurmountable lead of over 200 points over second place Dillon Silverman in overall points, but just a 32 point lead over 2nd place Scott Nail in the Dirt Standings.
Gates open around 4:15. Racing around 5.
See you there.
