Ya I heard the new Strickly Stock class too. I am thinking that they are going to be close to Enduro Cars. Have not seen any rules yet.

Lotsa rumors, nothing official... heard the current HS will be called Street Stocks, will be allowed to run Ford 9 inch rears, nothing heard on the Crate motors leaving though. Current Street Socks will be renamed Super Streets, new class will be Pure Stocks..... full bodies with the interior gutted, roll bar installed, single legger rear ends.....factory stock. I agree about the rules being posted asap. The time it takes to build, save money, and budget etc. Hopefully sooner than later as the case usually has been.lol

The best thing for the Street Stocks / Super Streets is to go to the West Coast Street Stock Rules...sooner than later ALL of Cali will be using these rules:

California Street Stock All-Star Shootout will use the WCSS Rules in 2011

It does not make sense to invest more money into something with no return.

I wouldn't mind building a motor.... If i knew the rules would be good for more than ONE SEASON! I now understand why the supers only had an average of 4 cars for the first half of the season. Im sure the economy had something to do with it, but changing the rules every year doesnt help. I guess it is what it is and Ill deal with it  Cool

Oh well cant please 'em all . Some guys and gals were bitchin' about the crate motors. Now they're gone. Now the crate guys are pissed... where does it end. Rules changes, either way, racers get screwed and so does car count for a while at least. Same ole Same ole .

By the way, our Hobby is screwed either way, so yes, I do have a dog in this fight. Roll Eyes

The Bart Parking lot will probably be an eventuallity since bart will be running on the tracks just south of the property.

John's contract.. I think he is 2 years into a 5 year????

Why tell the crates they can't run. There must be a better solution. Why not make them add weight or get a restrictor plate?  Huh

Why not just open them up to the claim rule, then for $1000 plus your motor you get a crate motor?

Lat year produced multiple main event winners in the Hobby stock division. That seems to be a success. The crate motors seem to be  very reliable, keeping the cost per race down. . Some of the racers have over 100 races on the crates with no major repair costs. The crates seem to keep the car count high due to the reliability and low maintenence.  Can someone please explain the reasoning behind eliminating the crate motors? Isn't a high car count the goal of the track?
