How to keep engine parts from rusting?
11/17/10 at 9:15am

So I have a stockpile of parts, and I'm trying to keep them in good condition.  The block that I have is doing fine, but some of the heads are starting to get surface rust.  I did have them coated with some aerosol can lubricating oil (aerosol Seafoam).  Is there something better that I can use to protect them/what do you guys use?

I had been looking at something like LPS#3, but I wonder how difficult it would be to remove the waxy coating that it creates....

WD-40, and or engine oil. Then use that cling wrap you get from the grocery store and wrap them up.

LPS #3 is made just for that purpose, similar to the old cosmoline,

Just pressure or detergent wash before use
