So, this past Sat. night, 5 of us headed out on a chilly late-fall night from Menifee (formerly Sun City) for the season-ending sprint car show at The PAS ("Perris Auto Speedway"). But when we got to the deserted ticket booth and saw they wanted $25, we bailed. That's way too much for a regular Sat. night short-track show that is usually $16-$18. So, we went bowling instead. Actually, that was fun and long over-due, as the last time my son and I went bowling was at Lighthouse Lanes in Oswego back during Classic Weekend in '07. As I wrote The PAS, if anything, their last race of the year should have been at discount "thank-you" prices, not increased ones (then again, I reminded them that Irwindale had been selling Turkey Night tickets for just $10!).
Hey, no one's a bigger "motor-head" than me, but for $30 (ticket price PLUS the suggested $5 worth of canned food), you can see NationWide cars at Fontana on a much larger, faster track!
"'tis the season to be greedy, fah-lah-lah-lah, lah-lah-lah-lah...."
