Falcon tranny questions
01/05/11 at 3:47pm

What is the easiest way to get the tail shaft bearing out of the case? (Referring to bearining where the yoke rides)  When i took apart the tail housing the bearing looked cherry.  The probem is the thing leaks like crazy through the tail shaft.  I have changed the seal a few times and it still leaks.  My yoke has some pitting, so not sure if that would cause it to leak or maybe the bearing is worn out, yet it appears to be ok.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

i went on line last year and called the falcon rep @ winters performance. he was very helpful and wanted to talk me through complete disassembly, i just sent it to them and had them fix it,kit labor and new output shaft cost me 300.00 plus peace of mind. i had bought it used. give him a call, very helpful and good people based on my expeirience. the other one that sells and has parts i hear is the team 3d. he probably has delt with this before.

Lol, I actually bought mine used also, in 2006, and I only ever worked on it once (we broke the clutch in it) but other than that, it has been flawless and I have never done anything to it at all, except change the oil every few races

The clutch breakage probably saved the tranny, and the same incident also broke a carbon fiber driveshaft
