PERRIS AUTO SPEEDWAY HOSTS DEMOLITON DERBY, ROLL OVER CONTEST AND DEMO CROSS THIS SATURDAY NIGHT

(Perris, CA, March 21, 2011) Back by popular demand, Perris Auto Speedway will hold a Night of Destruction this Saturday, March 26. The "Car Crashing'" program will feature a Demolition Derby, Roll Over Contest and Demo Cross. Spectator gates will open at 5:00 PM and the first crash will be at 7:00.

"Last year's Night of Destruction was very successful," promoter Don Kazarian said. "It drew a large, enthusiastic crowd as do the Demolition Derbies at the Southern California Fair every October. Fans asked for more of this type of event and we are going to give them what they want."

The crazy Demolition Derby will be a battle until only one car is left running. If 20 or more cars enter, the winner will pocket $2,000.00.

"Demolition Derbies are one of the oldest and most popular automotive events across the nation," Kazarian said. "One of the reasons they are so popular is anyone can enter without having to spend an arm or a leg to compete. We expect to have a big crowd on hand to see Saturday's Derby and the rest of the show."

The Roll Over contest, which proved to be a massive hit with the fans last year, is open to any car, truck or van. There will be one competitor on the track at a time and the competitors will take a full speed run at a ramp placed in the middle of the front straightaway. They will hit the ramp with their left side wheels sending the car into a series of wild, fender crushing flips. It will pay $500.00 to win, $300.00 for second and $200.00 for third.

"The rules for Demo Cross are simple," Kazarian said with a devilish grin. "There aren't any! The race will be 10 laps on the inner-quarter mile oval. There will be obstacles on the track and absolutely anything goes. If a driver wants to go backwards on the track to take out the leader, that if fine. Demo Cross is outrageous!."

Like the Rollover Contest, the Demo Cross will pay $500.00, $300.00 and $200.00 to the top three finishers.

Tickets for Saturday's "Bang Up" show are priced at $9.00 for adults. Active military members with proper id, teens 13-18 with their school id and kids 6-12 will all get in for just $5.00. Children under 5 will be admitted free.
