The Hoosier Tire California Civil War 360 Sprint Car Series headlines Petaluma Speedway's opening night of racing after two consecutive rainouts this Saturday, April 9th.
The Civil War Series is the premier winged 360 Series in California, and defending and 5 time champion Andy Forsberg of Auburn starts his quest for a 6th title. Two time champion Sean Becker of Oroville and previous Civil War Petaluma winner and two time A Main Event participant at the Chili Bowl Midget Nationals Shane Golobic of Fremont top the billing. The Petaluma Speedway contingent will be stacked and waiting. Alissa Geving, a two time former 360 track champion at Petaluma Speedway will attempt to defend home turf along with 2010 track champion "The BT Express" Bradley Terrell of Sebastopol and fellow Sebastopol resident "The Human Highlight Reel" Geoff Ensign who is coming off of a podium finish on the pavement in USAC sprint car competition.
Adding more fuel to the fire will be the All Pro Late Model Series with in house standouts "Hitman" Jeff Decker of Morgan Hill and "Wheelman" John Silva of Fremont, winners of the 2010 Petaluma Speedway track championship and 2010 M. Maselli and Sons Late Model Classic respectively, and 2008 Petaluma Speedway track champion, Vacaville's Paul Guglielmoni.
