PASSCAR SEASON WILL FINALLY OPEN AT PERRIS AUTO SPEEDWAY THIS SATURDAY!

(Perris, CA, April  12, 2011)  After a four week delay due to rain on March 19th, the 2011 PASSCAR Stock Car season will get underway this Saturday night, April 16th, at Perris Auto Speedway.  The PASSCAR Super Stocks, Street Stocks, Modifieds, Pick-A-Part Factory Stocks and the first Auto Roller Derby will make up Saturday's action packed show. Spectator gate will open at 5:00 PM and the first race will be at 5:30.  The 2010 PASSCAR awards barbeque will take place after the races.  Tickets for Saturday's race are priced at $9.00 for adults. Active military members with proper id, teens 13-18 with their school id and kids 6-12 will all get in for just $5.00. Children under 5 will be admitted free.  

2010 series champions - Chad Burns of Mira Loma in the Super Stocks, Tustin's Alan Updyke in the Modifieds and  Curtis Dietzsch of Moreno Valley are expected to be on hand to open defense of their crowns on Saturday and receive their 2010 championship awards after the races.  At the awards barbeque, Dietzsch will be picking up his third (2007, 2008 and 2010) championship trophy in the last four years at The PAS. Updyke will also be taking home his third PAS title trophy (2005, 2008 & 2010) and Burns will be taking home his second (2002 & 2010).  Stephen "Bam Bam" Fangmeyer, the 2010 Factory Stock champ, will be absent on Saturday due to a prior engagement.  

If the Super Stock, Modified or Street Stock classes receive 24 entries in 2011, the winner of the class main event will receive $1,000.00.  In addition, every night K&N Filters will be awarding certificates to the top three finishers in those classes along with the Factory Stock class.  The winner will get a K&N certificate for $100.00, second place will get one for $50.00 and third place will get a certificate for $25.00.   Also, Amsoil will introduce the "Oil Twins Dominator Award" on Saturday.  The driver who passes the most cars in the Street Stock main event will get a $50.00 certificate from Amsoil and the driver who passes the most cars in the Factory Stock main event will get a $25.00 certificate.  Those drivers will also automatically qualify for the "2nd Annual Oil Twins Challenge" on Champions night, which will take place on Saturday, October 29th.
Saturday's fast paced racing program will including heat races and main events for all five classes.
