holly 4412 carb question (Read 6141 times)

havocracingsc29 LMR Rookie Offline slidin sideways in the dirt Posts: 52 ca	holly 4412 carb question 04/17/11 at 7:38pm i bought a brand new holley 4412 carb for my hobby stock, my question is, is there anything i need to adjust since it will be on a race car instead of a street car, i adjusted the float and changed the jets, just wasnt sure if there was anything else since its on a race car and not a street car. thanks

imracin68j LMR God Offline Do the impossible Posts: 6228	Re: holly 4412 carb question Reply #6 - 04/17/11 at 11:28pm Havo, a regular 4412 will be a subpar carb to something like a vdl. A vdl is a 4421 that's been calibrated by vdl. What stinks is vdl will run you 5-600 bucks, maybe less if you get one used. You may be able to have them calibrate your 4412.

imracin68j LMR God Offline Do the impossible Posts: 6228	Re: holly 4412 carb question Reply #8 - 04/18/11 at 8:57am It will function properly if the jetting and float is right. There air bleed screws on the side. I believe you set them at idle. I forgot what the setting is but you can look it up. Don't mess with them unless there is an issue.
