DOUBLE NIGHT OF DESTRUCTION THIS SATURDAY AT PERRIS AUTO SPEEDWAY!
(Perris, CA, April  26, 2011)  Fans of motorized mayhem will get a double dose of car crushing chaos this Saturday night, April 30th, when Perris Auto Speedway hosts "The Night of Double Destruction."  The show combines the entire rained out March 26th "Night of Destruction" with Saturday's regular show and there will be no extra charge for admission.  There will be two Demolition Derbies, Figure 8 Trailer Races, Demo Cross and a Roll Over contest.  It will also be "Scout Night and Camp Out at The PAS."  Spectator gate will open at 5:00 PM and the first crash will be at 7:00.  Tickets for Saturday's fun event are priced at $9.00 for adults. Active military members with proper id, teens 13-18 with their school id and kids 6-12 will all get in for just $5.00. Children under 5 will be admitted free.  

The PAS began hosting "Nights of Destruction" in 2010, but a rainy night during last year's Southern California Fair convinced Perris promoter Don Kazarian to add more shows for 2011.  "It was the last night of the fair and it was raining," Kazarian said.  "We were having an RV Demolition Derby and Dan Pacella was going to drive a car through a motor home.  It was wet and cold, but 45 minutes before the event was to start, the grandstands were absolutely packed.  Despite the less than comfortable weather conditions, the fans cheered and laughed throughout the show and they stayed till the very end.  That told me something.  The people want to see this kind of fun entertainment and we are going to give it to them more often."

"People enjoy this type of event,"  Kazarian continued.  "Two weeks ago at the PASSCAR season opener we introduced Auto Roller Derby.  We had two teams and it was only three laps.  It was crazy and the crowd went wild.  They loved it and wanted more.  We will be bringing it back later in the year with more teams and more laps."

This Saturday's show will combine all of the March 26th rained out events with this weeks regular schedule.   The Figure 8 Trailer Races will be making their first ever appearance on The PAS infield.  There will be two separate Demolition Derbies.  The Iron Man Outlaw version where the cars are like reinforced tanks and a Fresh Car Demolition Derby where cars are being crashed for the first time.  

Demo Cross will be contested on the track's inner quarter-mile oval.  It is an oval track race where anything goes.  If a driver wants to go the opposite way on the track to take out a competitor, it is perfectly legal.  If they want to cut through the infield to get at another driver that is legal as well.  And, there will be some hazards on the track to add a little spice to the action.  Basically, the only rule in Demo Cross is, there are no rules!!!

The Roll Over contest proved to be a massive hit with the fans in 2010.  A large ramp is placed in the middle of the front straightaway and cars hit it at full speed with their right side wheels launching them into a series of crowd pleasing wild flips and gyrations.  

Starting at 5:00 when the spectator gates open, there will be a live band playing and there be Laser Tag for the kids.

Scouts of all ages (boys and girls) who attend the show will be welcome to camp out over night on the Lake Perris Fairgrounds.  For more information on the scout camp out contact Ray Cisneros at: cubmasterray642@aol.com

Saturday will also be a fundraiser and giveaway night for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.  Each year, through the generous help of the fans, race teams, officials and sponsors, The PAS raises $10,000.00 for the Relay for Life
