FOUR DIVISON PASSCAR RACE AT PERRIS AUTO SPEEDWAY THIS SATURDAY!

(Perris, CA, May 2, 2011)  This Saturday night, May 7th, Perris Auto Speedway will hold round #2 of the 2011 PASSCAR Championship Racing Series.  The exciting show will feature the Oil Twins Amsoil Street Stocks, Super Stocks, Modifieds and the Pick-A-Part Factory Stocks.  Spectator gates will open at 5:00 PM and the first race will be at 5:30.  Tickets for Saturday's race are priced at only $9.00 for adults. Active military members with proper id, teens 13-18 with their school id and kids 6-12 will all get in for just $5.00. Children under 5 will be admitted free.  

Saturday's race is actually the makeup date for the rained out March 19th program.

At the well attended season opener three weeks ago, defending champion Alan Updyke of Tustin edged Lakewood's Tom "Slick" Smith in a thrilling last lap dual in the Modifieds.  Likewise, Chad Burns of Mira Loma, the defending champ in the Super Stock's, held off Imperial Beach's Joseph Altig to post the initial win of 2011.

The winners in the Oil Twins Amsoil Street Stock's and the Pick-A-Part Factory Stocks were both first time visitors to The PAS victory circle.  Michael Laney led every inch of the way in the 20-lap Street Stock main event.  The 22-year-old Redondo Beach resident is part of the famous Laney racing clan from Torrance.  In the Factory Stocks, Stephanie Herbage, a Riverside Community College student who resides in Moreno Valley, led from the green to the checkered for her initial main event win.  Earlier in the night, her family crew cured an early fuel pickup problem before the main event allowing her to record the victory.

K&N Filters will donate gift certificates of $100.00, $50.00 and $25.00 to the top three finishers in each main event.  The driver who passes the most cars on the Street Stock main will get a $50.00 Oil Twins Dominator gift certificate and the car that passes the most in the Factory Stock main will get a $25.00 Oil Twins Dominator gift certificate.  Each of those drivers will get an automatic entry into the Oil Twins Challenge on October 29th.  
If the Street Stocks, Super Stocks or Modifieds have fields of 24 cars, the main event winner of the class (s) will take home $1,000.00.  All purses are posted on the Perris Auto Speedway web site.

Saturday's fast paced, hard hitting (literally) racing program will including heat races and main events for all four classes.
