RESULTS FOR THE OIL TWINS AMSOIL DRIVERS AT LAST SATURDAY'S PASSCAR RACE!
(June 29, 2011, Montclair, CA) Several Oil Twins Amsoil drivers took part in round number four of the 2011 PASSCAR season at Perris Auto Speedway last Saturday night. Top finisher from the group was Corona's Steven Fangmeyer who raced to his first main event win of the 2011 campaign in the American Factory Stock Class.
Fangmeyer, a 25-year-old racer from Corona, California, came from the sixth starting spot to win the 20-lap main event. In addition to his race victory, Fangmeyer, the 2010 Factory Stock champ, also won the Oil Twins Dominator Award, which is accompanied by a $25.00 gift certificate and an automatic birth in the Oil Twins Challenge on October 29th. Moreno Valley's Stephanie Herbage, another Oil Twins sponsored racer, took fifth in the main event and maintained her lofty second place position in the championship points standings as the season reached the halfway point.
A quartet of Oil Twins drivers contested the Street Stock main event. The racing Everhart family from Perris - father Jake, mom Ronnie and son Dalton - were in the main as was Fangmeyer who was appearing in his first ever Street Stock race. Dalton, 17-years-old, fared the best of the four with a sixth place finish after starting 17th. Despite hitting the turn four wall, Jake finished ninth in the 25-lapper with Fangmeyer coming home 10th. Mom Ronnie was forced out with over heating problems and ended up a disappointing 18th.
Dalton Everhart captured the Oil Twins Dominator Award and the $50.00 gift certificate that goes with it and like Fangmeyer, earned an automatic birth into the October 29th Oil Twins Challenge.
All of the Oil Twins PASSCAR drivers will be back in action at The PAS when the Series returns on July 23rd. This Saturday Greg Alexander will fly the Oil Twins banner in the Amsoil USAC/CRA Series at The PAS as will point leader Tim Brown and returning Zach Zauss in the California Lightning Sprint Car Series.
